Caramel Kiss Brownies

Normally, I horde my baking stash like crazy.  It’s mine, all carefully picked from grocery stores in America and spirited across the ocean to be hidden away until an idea pops into my head for something to bake.  But when Beardy Bestie Fran came over for our weekend of baking, I let her pick out something to bake with.  As a fellow caramel lover (I knew there was a reason we were such good friends!), she went straight to the Caramel Kisses – and knew she wanted brownies.

I let her keep the remainder of the bag – and if that’s not friendship, I don’t know what is.

Caramel Kiss Brownies (adapted from Brownie Bliss)


115g unsalted butter

230g light brown sugar

2 large eggs

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

180g plain flour

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1 bag of Caramel Hershey Kisses

IngredientsCream together the butter and sugar.

Cream together butter and sugarMix in eggs and vanilla.  Sift in dry ingredients – you want to mix it until it’s very light and whipped.  Place the dough in a lined brownie pan.  Place kisses in the brownie batter.

Place kisses in the brownie batter.Make sure to lightly cover the kisses with batter.  Bake at 180C for about 30 minutes.  Allow to cool.
