Candy Corn M&M Cookies

Everyone has a fairly bog standard go-to recipe.  Mine is chocolate chip cookies.  They’re incredibly easy to make and can be thrown together in about 20 minutes for a last minute occasion or a quick baked good fix.  And a great way to make them festive for any holiday is to throw in some  festive M&Ms (the green and red ones for Christmas, most notably.)  But recently, M&M have come up with a Candy Corn M&M.  I really liked it – I’m a big white chocolate fan and there’s definitely a taste of white chocolate and candy corn.  So I decided to whip up a batch of cookies and throw in some Candy Corn M&Ms and a few mini-white chocolate chips.

Candy Corn M&M Cookies (adapted from Tollhouse Cookies)

3/4 cups granulated sugar

3/4 cups light brown sugar

113g unsalted butter

2 eggs (unpictured)

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda

2 1/4 cups plain flour

2 cups candy corn M&Ms (or I made it 1 1/2 cups candy corn M&Ms and 1/2 cup white chocolate chips)

Cream together the butter and sugar.  Mix in the two eggs and add in 1 tsp of vanilla extract.  Sift in the 1/2 tsp of bicarbonate of soda and the plain flour, 1/4 cup at a time.  This recipe does get very dry (I’ve burned out a boyfriend’s hand mixer before), so just keep that in mind that you’ll want to be really strong to finish the last 1/4 cup!

Add in the candy corn M&Ms and white chocolate chips.

Bake at 190C for about 8 minutes.  You want it to become a nice light golden brown.  Take them out and enjoy this nice candy corn-ish Halloween treat!

  1. Did you get the candy corn M&Ms in the States or have you found them here? I love the sound of them!
